This is a team participation hackathon. You can have at most 5 members in your team.

The hackathon will start at May 30, 2022 02:30 AM CST and end at Jun 13, 2022 02:25 AM CST, you work on your hack during the allotted time only.
It's an online hackathon, so you can participate from anywhere.
There are 4 themes of the hackathon, you must submit a hack that is of one of these themes.
The submissions will be judged by the appointed judges, the decision of the administrative team will be final and binding.
Once the hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your hack, you can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as the final submission.
There are 2 rounds in this hackathon: the first round (May 30, 2022 - Jun 13, 2022) is where all participants are to submit their (1) Powerpoint Deck/PDF (2) Demo Video (.mov/.mp3) and (3) Source Code for evaluation. A panel of tech judges will be evaluating submissions. Only the top 10 groups with the highest scores will advance into the second round/finals.
The second round/finals happens on 27th June 2022 on Zoom. Finalists/The Top 10 groups will be issued a Zoom link at a later date. This is the round where groups will have to present their idea live in front of the Grab tech leadership. They will have 20 minutes to present their ideas and have a QnA session with the judging panel. They will then have their presentation and overall submission evaluated. After scoring, we will award the team with the highest points the champion of the Hackathon.
You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has been copied from somewhere will be disqualified.
Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration. You may use materials provided in the Resource centre, as well as open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc.

Grab HackForGood: Grab Hackathon 2022 Terms and Conditions
These are the Terms and Conditions for the Grab HackForGood: Grab Hackathon 2022 to be held from 30 May 2022 to 28 June 2022 (the “Hackathon”) . The Hackathon is sponsored by Grabtaxi Holdings Pte Ltd (“Grab”) and hosted by HackerEarth Inc., (“HackerEarth”). By participating in the Hackathon, you accept these Terms and Conditions which form a binding agreement between you and Grab. While participating in the Hackathon you also agree to observe HackerEarth’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1.1 The Hackathon is open to all individuals above the age of 21. The Hackathon is not open to officers, directors, employees, contractors of Grab or its affiliates or subsidiaries or immediate family members of such officers, directors, employees or contractors. 1.2 In order to participate in the Hackathon, all participants must complete the registration at on HackerEarth by 29 May 2022. You must provide any applicable personal or team information to complete registration. 1.3 Each individual is only allowed to register once. 1.4 You may register to participate as an individual or a team. The maximum team size is [5]. 1.5 All information provided through the registration process must be complete, correct and provided in English. 1.6 Grab shall not be responsible for any late or inaccurate submissions, or any delay in registration submissions. 1.7 Grab reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to reject or refuse any participant even after registration has been submitted or to disqualify any team.
2.1 Prizes for the Hackthon (“Prizes”) are:
2.1.1 1st prize: USD 5,000
2.1.2 2nd prize: USD 3,000
2.1.3 3rd prize: USD 1,500
2.1.4 2 Honourable Prizes (Most Unique, Social Impact Award): USD 500 each
2.2 Grab shall determine the winners in its sole discretion.
2.3 Grab shall not be liable for any unsuccessful efforts to notify winners and reserves the right to select alternate winners if the original winners are found to be ineligible or uncontactable.
2.4 Prizes are non-transferable and winners shall be solely responsible for any taxes applicable to the Prizes.
3.1 Participants agree to comply with any new or additional conditions, rules or deadlines that may be introduced during the Hackathon, which will be updated on the Hackathon website. Participants will monitor the Hackathon website regularly to get information about any such updates and neither Grab nor HackerEarth will be responsible for the participant’s failure to do so.
3.2 Participants shall not share their submission, code or data with anyone who is not on their team. A participant may not share any information that is developed using the data and resources provided for the Hackathon privately. This includes the source code, presentations, documents etc. Sharing any such information privately will result in disqualification.
3.3 Grab or HackerEarth may provide you with data and resources for the purpose of the Hackathon. Participants will use data and resources only as defined by HackerEarth and/or by Grab. Data and resources will be used solely for the purpose of the Hackathon and for the duration of the Hackathon only and shall not be used for any commercial or illegal purpose, or copied, modified, reproduced, distributed or displayed for any other purpose.
3.4 No Open Source Code. Participants shall not use any open source software, materials or codes as part of their solution for the Hackathon, unless otherwise approved in writing by Grab.
3.5 Use of Grab APIs. "Grab API(s)" means all software, including routines, data structures, object classes, protocols, programs, templates, libraries and interfaces, application programming interfaces, software development kits, developer tools, technical documentation, updates and other related materials, whether tangible or intangible, in whatever form or medium that are made available by Grab at or as otherwise provided to you. Any use of the Grab APIs shall be subjected to the terms and conditions available at https://developer.grab.com/pages/terms-of-use (the “Grab API T&Cs”)
3.6 Ownership of Intellectual Property Rights. To the extent that there are any conflicts between the following provisions contained in this Terms and Conditions and the Grab API T&Cs, the following provisions shall prevail -
3.6.1 Participant hereby assigns and transfers to Grab all right, title, and interest in any and all solutions submitted by the Participant pursuant to the Hackathon. All intellectual property rights to such solutions submitted by the Participant pursuant to the Hackathon shall vest in and be the absolute property of Grab.
3.6.2 At Grab’s request and expense, Participant will assist and cooperate with Grab in all respects to execute documents, and will take such further acts reasonably requested by Grab to enable Grab to acquire, transfer, maintain, perfect and enforce their intellectual property rights and other legal protections for the solutions submitted by the Participant pursuant to the Hackathon.
3.7 All decisions by Grab in respect of the Hackathon, including with regard to eligibility, qualification, timelines, winners and prizes are final and binding and Grab shall not be required to provide any reasons or explanations for its decisions.
4.1 Each Participant represents and warrants that:
4.1.1 he/ she will comply with all applicable laws in participating in the Hackathon;
4.1.2 he/she has legal capacity to agree to these Terms and Conditions;and
4.1.3 All content submitted during the Hackathon: 4.1.3.1 will not violate the rights or any third party;
4.1.3.2 contain lewd, obscene or otherwise objectionable content; and
4.1.3.3 Contain any viruses, spywares and/or other harmful components that may impair, interrupt, damage or otherwise interfere with any equipment or connected network.
4.1.4 Participants will treat as confidential all information provided to participant as part of the Hackathon and shall not (a) disclose such confidential information to any third party unless required by law or (b) use the confidential information except in connection with lawfully participating in the Hackathon in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
5.1 Participants shall fully indemnify Grab and hold Grab harmless from and against all claims, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including legal costs, arising directly or indirectly out of:
5.1.1 any breach of these Terms and Conditions;
5.1.2 any failure of Participant to comply with applicable laws;
5.1.3 any violation of third party rights by Participant; and 5.1.4 a participant’s fraud, negligence or wilful misconduct.
5.2 Grab shall not be liable for any miscommunication, technical failures, network unavailability during the duration of the Hackathon.
5.3 Grab shall not be liable for any injuries, losses, damages, claims actions or any liability howsoever arising out of or in connection with participant’s participation in the Hackathon.
5.4 All information, data, resources and other content provided to participants for the purpose of the Hackathon is on an “as is” basis. Grab disclaims all representations and warranties, implied or express, in relation to all content provided. The usage and download of such content by participants is at their own risk and Grab shall not be liable to any interference or damage to participant’s devices.
6.1 Grab reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Hackathon at any time without notice. Grab’s exercise of its right to suspend or terminate the Hackathon shall not entitle a participant to any fees, damages, claims or any other recourse.
7.1 Amendments: Grab reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
7.2 No waiver: Any failure by Grab to exercise its rights under these Terms and Conditions shall not be deemed as a waiver of such rights.
7.3 Severability: If at any time any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be or shall become illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any respect, the legality, validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions in these Terms and Conditions shall not be affected or impaired thereby, and shall continue in force as if such illegal, invalid or unenforceable provision was severed from these Terms and Conditions.
7.4 No third party rights: A person or entity who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right to enforce or to enjoy the benefit of any term of these Terms and Conditions.
7.5 Governing law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, and each participant submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
