HackForGood: Grab Hackathon 2022

Javier Gomez is the Head of Engineering of Communications Platform and Grab Support Tech family. His role involves formulating and executing strategy whilst being accountable for overseeing the product roadmap, the business value and people growth (50+ engineers).

Mike Cartmell is a Senior Principal Engineer under the Automation and Platform Excellence organization. He has been with Grab for 7 years and has developed many of the core libraries and frameworks of Grab's backend systems.

Jia Chen is the Head of Data Science, Integrity and Mobility at Grab. With over 15 years of experience as well as launching 2 AI startups, he dreams of a world where human are greatly empowered by machines.

Pavel is an Engineering Manager II at GSTF. He really likes to build software even in his free time, came to Grab from Tesla, and absolutely fell in love with Grab’s values and culture, mainly working with Automation and Help Centre folks to make sure our customers and partners feel supported and cared for.

Prem Kumar is the Head of Engineering (Payments) under the Grab Financial Group. With over 20 years of industry experience across continents, he currently manages 100+ technical Grabbers around the world as they constantly drive innovation in Grab's products. He has a keen interest in proving mathematical theorems.

Paul Davis is Grab’s Head of Tech Programs, leading a team of 50+ program managers that drive cross-functional initiatives across Grab’s diverse set of Tech teams. He has been with Grab for more than 6 years, helping the company deliver sustainable growth initiatives including leading the initial SuperApp strategy.

Jakob Stoeck is Head of Engineering for the GrabMerchant experience. The tech family comprises of around 100 engineers, analysts, designers, product owners, and more.

Andrei is a Head of Engineering under Fulfilment. He has worked in the past in different domains, such as industrial printing, automotive, location based services, maps, ads, identity verification and now pricing. He has helped build teams of several sizes, starting from greenfield startups to corporate platform teams.

Anshu Prateek is a Head of Engineering for SRE and Databases at Grab Financial Group. He owns the systems stability, scalability, security and compliance for over 20 line of businesses. His team of 30 helps over 400 engineers across countries to setup and scale new businesses while ensuring seamless performance of existing ones.

Rajesh is a Head of Engineering of the Fincore Tech Family. Fincore engineering team is about 50 engineers and build some of the core Fintech reusable systems like , ledger, settlement, reconciliation, and integration rails with other banks, payment aggregators, and national payment rails. He also helps drive the engineering excellence initiatives across GFG teams.
